About MorGen Energy
MorGen Energy is a green hydrogen developer and owner operator focused on delivering large scale, bankable projects across Europe. Fully owned by Trafigura, MorGen combines industrial expertise with deep financial capability to take projects from development through to construction and operations.
Our portfolio spans the full hydrogen value chain, from renewable power sourcing and hydrogen production to distribution and industrial offtake. Key projects include Njordkraft in Esbjerg, Denmark, a large scale project designed to convert offshore wind into green hydrogen for European industry; West Wales Hydrogen in Milford Haven, a 20 MW project that has reached Final Investment Decision and is progressing into construction under the UK’s hydrogen business model; and Teesside Green Hydrogen, a next phase scaled development supporting industrial decarbonisation in the UK.
We focus on developing projects that are commercially robust and built for long term delivery, underpinned by strong partnerships, structured revenue frameworks, and close alignment with evolving policy landscapes. This enables us to move from concept to execution with credibility and pace.
Our approach is pragmatic and delivery focused, grounded in technical excellence, commercial discipline, and collaborative engagement.
We believe hydrogen will play a critical role in industrial decarbonisation and energy security. Our role is to deliver scalable, investable solutions, responsibly, reliably, and at pace.
