We are looking for an experienced Financial Specialist (5-10 years of experience) to join our team in Bristol, UK.

In this role, you will work closely with finance teams in Switzerland and Germany, overseeing daily accounting, financial reporting, tax filings, and statutory compliance for our UK subsidiary.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include:

• Manage daily accounting and monthly group reporting
• Prepare quarterly VAT and corporate tax returns
• Compile annual statutory financial statements
• Support audit procedures and liaise with auditors and authorities
• Oversee financial forecasting and controlling for the company’s various projects in the UK and abroad
• Provide analysis for FP&A, cost control and treasury purposes, collaborating with project cost control
• Ensure compliance with lender reporting requirements
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
• Handle payroll computations and statutory filings

Desired expertise and skills

In order to succeed in the role, we are looking for candidates with the following skills:

• CA qualification with a strong accounting background
• 5–10 years of experience in an international financial environment
• You have strong numerical, interpersonal / communications skills, and attention to detail
• You are comfortable interrogating numbers and challenging sources to drive cost optimisations. Financial Modeling knowledge is a plus
• You have a structured and analytical way of working, are results-driven, and are able to work independently
• You have a doer mindset and enjoy engaging with people
• Previous experience in the green hydrogen industry is a plus
• Native/Bilingual in English is a must
